International Deliveries & Orders

We DO NOT accept International Orders on this web site. Please DO NOT place an order for delivery outside of Australia. Any International Orders placed on the web site will be cancelled and your payment refunded.

Shipping, Delivery & Postage Policies

FREE DELIVERY* on orders totaling over AUD $100 Excluding Bikes or Re-delivery Charges (based on value excluding postage).
When your order qualifies for FREE DELIVERY, our system automatically applies the discount to your order.

For orders totaling under AUD $100 (based on value excluding postage) your shipping costs will be added in the shopping cart process pages once you have entered your postcode. $10 flat rate Australia wide.

In-store Pick up is now available on all orders but must be selected at the payment screen when completing your transaction, you will receive an email confirming when your parcel is ready for pick up.

Express / Overnight Delivery is now available for orders that fit within Post Satchel size restrictions & complies with Aviation Security and Dangerous Goods declaration.

Delivery Time frames

  • Orders will be dispatched within 24hrs during normal business hours (Mon - Fri), unless product is on back-order in which case you will be notified regarding timeframe.
  • Capital Cities & Metro Areas: Please allow 1-5 business days if in-stock (Overnight freight is subject to Aviation Security and Dangerous Goods declaration).

  • Country Areas: Usually 2 -7 business days if in-stock (Overnight freight is subject to Aviation Security and Dangerous Goods declaration).

  • Other Areas: Up to 9 business days or more, depending on availability.



Our courier partners are Star Track, TOLL Ipec and Australia Post.

Out-of-Stock Items

  • If an item you've ordered has become out-of-stock, or unavailable, we will ship the items that are available and the item that is unavailable will be back-ordered.
  • We will contact you by either phone call or by email to notify you of a back-ordered item.
  • If the back-ordered item is not available to ship within 14 days, this item will be cancelled. You will only be charged for items shipped.

  • Back-Ordered items are shipped FREE OF CHARGE when shipped as second delivery.

Delivery Policies

  • Most items are sent from BE-Online via courier, and require a signature on delivery. For this reason, we ask that you make your delivery address one that will be occupied during normal business hours.
  • If you are not at home during delivery, Star Track Premium Air Service will deliver the consignment to the nearest Post Office for collection by the receiver.  An Additional charge of $8.50 will apply for this service, which is automatically debit from your account upon re-delivery.
  • For deliveries with TOLL ipec a note will be left in your mailbox and you can ask for re-delivery at a more convenient time, or pick up from a depot in your area.  If you choose to arrange a re-delivery our courier will charge $30 for the re-delivery service. Note* We will need to authorize the charge with you.
  • We will provide you the consignment number and courier company's contact details, so you can contact our courier company to check the progress of your delivery.
  • If you know you won't be home for delivery just make a note in the "comments" section at the checkout, that permission is given for the parcel to be left at the address provided.  Bicycle Express does not take any liability for lost or stolen goods.

P.O. Box Address Deliveries

We can only deliver items that fit in a Standard Satchel to P.O. Box Addresses unless you can confirm the Post Office will hold your bike or larger item for you, shipping larger items via Australia Post might incur an additional shipping fee depending on location and size of item.

FAQ's

Q: What if I'm not home?

A: Most items are sent from BE-Online via courier, and require a signature on delivery. Q: How do I select the free delivery option?

A: When your order qualifies for FREE DELIVERY, our system automatically applies the discount to your order.

Q: My order meets the above requirements for FREE DELIVERY, but I don't see any discount?

A: If your order totals AUD $100, not including shipping costs, then you qualify for free shipping. Perhaps your product/s value was just under $100 and the shipping cost has taken the total just over $100, in which case you do not qualify for free delivery. For example, you purchased a cycling jersey for $95, and the postage for that item is $8. You will not qualify for free delivery, but the order will total $103 once the shipping cost is included.

Q: What happens if something from my order is out-of-stock?

A: Yes, orders placed online can be picked up from the retail shop @124 Halifax Street, Adelaide but (In-store pick up) must be selected at the payment screen when completing your transaction, you will also receive an email confirming when your parcel is ready for pick up.

Returns & Warranty

Returns

Customer satisfaction is our number one priority.

  • As one of Australia's most successful bike retailers, we aim to make every transaction a pleasant, convenient and care-free shopping experience.
  • We do not refund or exchange goods if you simply change your mind or make a wrong decision.
  • Exchanges and refunds can only be given where goods are faulty, wrongly described, different from the sample shown to you or do not do what they are supposed to do.
  • Refunds are at the discretion of the Bicycle Express and must be notified within 30 Days.

Damaged Goods on Delivery

It is the customer's responsibility to check the packaging when items are delivered and not ‘sign off’ if packaging is damaged.
NOTE: Acceptance of delivery voids any liability to freight company and Bicycle Express.

In the Event of a Return

We ask that you note the following:

  • The product must be in new, unused, and 100% original condition (unworn, if clothes) with all the original packaging materials intact.
  • Before returning an item, please call 08 8232 7277 to receive a Return Authorisation number.
  • Customer is responsible for all shipping and handling charges.
  • Returns must be sent prepaid and insured for the full price by a traceable carrier to us.
  • Special promotional items that are not defective can not be returned for any reason. We remind our customers to choose products carefully before placing your order.
  • All returns must have a Return Authorisation number and proof of purchase receipt.
  • We will credit the card used at time of purchase via our merchant facility. This may take up to 10 working days to appear as cleared funds.

Warranty

At Bicycle Express we offer the following warranty for products purchased at bicycleexpress.com.au :

  • Manufacturers warranty terms on bicycle frames and parts. (This warranty covers factory defects and faults only. We do not cover misuse or broken parts caused by the user or by any other event)
  • This warranty does not cover buckled wheels, damage or failure caused by abuse, misuse, or faulty installation by the user.
  • All freight costs are not covered under any warranty. The customer is responsible for shipping and handling charges both ways.

Bicycle Express Online Pricing:

  • Pricing online is sometimes cheaper than at our retail shop, as buying online does not include professional in-store advice from a qualified cycling professional, and does not include assembly and fitting.
  • Online Price only items are specific sales items only available in our "Online store"

Availability:

  • All products are subject to availability and prior sale.
  • All prices appearing in our newsletters or web site are subject to change without prior notice.
  • Bicycle Express is not responsible for printing errors or other errors appearing in our newsletter or web site.
  • All orders are subject to acceptance by Bicycle Express.



Web Site:

  • Prices on our web site are in effect until they are removed from the page unless otherwise noted (excluding cached Google pages).
  • Clearance items have limited quantities, sizes/colours, and may no longer be available, and these items may not be available in our retail stores.

Retail Store:

  • Prices at our retail shop may vary to cover the cost of stocking, handling and display, while giving you the opportunity to physically handle and size the product if necessary.

Privacy:

  • We respect your privacy.
  • Any and all the information collected on this site will be kept strictly confidential and will not be sold, reused, rented, disclosed, or loaned.
  • All information you provide will be held with the utmost care and will not be used in ways that you have not consented to.

  • Bicycle Express knows that customers are concerned about the security and protection of their credit card information. For this reason Bicycle Express has taken a number of security measures to ensure customers can shop safely with us.
  • Bicycle Express uses NAB's Internet Payment Gateway to provide a secure environment for the authorisation of credit card transactions over the Internet. Confidential information including customer credit card details are encrypted the moment they are transmitted from the customer's browser to the banking network using industry standard encryption technology.
  • The customer's credit card details are not stored anywhere on the Internet and the only company who has access to this data is the merchant's bank. The bank also sends confirmation information via the same encryption technology back to the customer's browser. These secure processes provide the customer with peace of mind when purchasing online.
